4 Ways To Gain Authority Over Cravings
Dec 13, 2021#004 - Most of us have not been taught to process our emotions. We want to avoid feeling uncomfortable and have taught ourselves that certain foods can ease our pain.
But the truth is that life is 50/50.
50% uncomfortable and painful and 50% positive and happy.
Our brains want to avoid that 50% of discomfort.
If we want to get back to our natural weight, we need to stop numbing our feelings with food.
The way we do this is to process our feelings.
Emotions are just vibrations.
When we are willing to feel any vibration, we find that it's not so scary after all.
Be sure to listen to learn 4 ways to process an emotion, specifically an urge to eat.
When we do this, the urges get smaller and we can be around food without the need to give in.
God's promise in this episode comes from James 1:2-3. We will have trials. We don't need to resist them. In fact, when we open up to them and allow the discomfort, we grow and become the next version of ourselves.
